Corkscrew Cafe and Gegrois Tasting Patio

A couple weekends ago I had a chance to be an adult and visit Carmel Valley.  A little out of Bay Area range but a spectacular place to share.

Adventure Playground @ The Berkeley Marina

I love Adventure Playground at the Berkeley Marina.  Not just for the amazing exploration and creative opportunities for my kids but for the beautiful and ever-changing displays.

Hillside Elementary School

Hillside Elementary School is located on Le Roy Avenue in the hills of Berkeley.  It is a beautiful example of Tudor Revival architecture.  It is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Yet it is in total decay... a beautiful but wasted building.

Free Day at the Oakland Museum of California

The first Sunday of every month admission is free at the Oakland Museum of California.  We go almost every month.  We went yesterday and the entryway art installation had been adapted to include an amazing mural of Oakland.
